William Beauchamp RYE 1724-1780
Biographical Note
Son of George Rye, archdeacon of Oxford. BA Charist Church, Oxford 1743, MA 1747, BMed 1751, DMed 1759. At the time of his death he was described as a physician in Bath.
Books
Rye used an engraved armorial bookplate, made when he was a student of Christ Church (Franks 25827). In his brief nuncupative will, all his property (including his books) was left to his wife Hannah.
