John WELLES or WELLS d.1570

Biographical Note

Of Cambridgeshire. BA Queens' College, Cambridge 1559, fellow there from 1558, MA 1562, BD 1570. He became a fellow of Clare College in 1562, and a University preacher in 1565; he had a prebend at York from 1568 and at Wells from 1569.
