Biographical Note
BA Christ's College, Cambridge 1537, fellow there from 1538, MA 1540, BD 1548, Lady Margaret Preacher 1549, master of Jesus College 1551. He also held several ecclesiastical livings.

Peerpoynt's probate inventory includes ca.125 books, valued at £13 1s 4d (from a total estate valued at just over £375). The books are mostly in Latin, with some Greek and Hebrew, with a predominance of theology alongside some philosophy, classics, and other topics.
