Alexander NISBET of Northfield, 1672-1758
Biographical Note
An Edinburgh surgeon apothecary, he was the son of James Nisbet, surgeon (b. 1640). He was probably an Edinburgh M.A. He is recorded as performing a dissection at the Royal College of Surgeons in 1704 and he went on to become a Deacon of the College.

The extent and disposition of his library is not known.
