Biographical Note
Son of Thomas Gage, a younger son of SirEdward Gage of Hengrave, 1st bart. He inherited the title and estate when his uncle Sir William Gage, 2nd bart, died in 1727.
Books
Gage used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 11561); the extent of his library is not known. Only 31 when he died, his will directed that all his property be left to his mother; the baronetcy was inherited by his brother William.
