Biographical Note

Roman Catholic priest, chaplain to Sir George Cary at Torre Abbey, Devon, appointed chaplain-general to the army by James II, fled abroad after 1689.

Maintained a library for the English Catholic clergy, the books being marked E. C. CL[ericorum] Ang[lorum].
