Charles TRELAWNY 1706?-1764
Biographical Note
Younger son of Edward Trelawny, Dean of Exeter. Matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford 1722, but did not graduate. He inherited the family estate at Coldrenick, near Liskeard, when his older brother Darell died in 1727. MP for Liskeard 1740-54. He held the office of assay master of the stannaries from 1742.
Books
Trelawny used an engraved armorial bookplate, "Charles Trelawny, Esqr. of Coldrinnick" (Franks 29772). The extent of his library is not known; his will has no mention of books, and the Coldrenick estate passed to his cousin Henry St George Darell.
