Books
Kimpson's library was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 7 January 1730, together with the books of Richard Hutton. The titlepage of the sale catalogue announced "a large collection of books, relating to the history, antiquities, and constitution of Great-Britain and Ireland; of the history of most foreign nations, and the antiquities of several of their principalities and counties: of architecture, sculpture, law, divinity, trade, husbandry, and classicks, in Usum Delphini, of the Paris editions, with several printed by Aldus, Rob. Stephens, and other curious printers: with a great many Italian books printed by Giolilo, Juntae, &c." There were also "an hundred volumes of vellum mss. on various subjects".
