Dorothy UPTON, ca.1635?

Biographical Note

Dorothy Upton was the daughter of Michael Beresford (n.d.). She married Arthur Upton (1633-1706) of Castle Upton, Co. Antrim. Her daughter, Anne Upton (1664-1753), married William ‘Good-Will’ Conyngham (d.1721) of Springhill, Co. Londonderry.

Books

The extent and disposition of Dorothy Upton’s library are not known. One book that was signed by her -- Richard Baxter’s The life of faith (London, 1670) -- is in the library at the National Trust’s Springhill.
