William CONWAY b.1716/7

Conway's bookplate (British Museum Franks Collection 6660)

Biographical Details

Son of Benjamin Conway of Northop, Flintshire, vicar there. BA Jesus College, Oxford 1737, MA 1740; it seems likely that he went on to have a clerical career in Wales though further details have not been traced.

Books

A bookplate is preserved in the Franks Collection (6660) which is an engraving of the Conway family arms, with "Will. Conway Coll. Jesu. Oxon." written on; we do not know how many of these there may have been, or anything else about the extent/disposition of Conway's books.
