The library at [[location::Felbrigg]] has numerous books with [[family::William Windham|William]]'s signature and sometimes date of acquisition.  Catherine used an engraved armorial bookplate, and kept records of her own books in notebooks.  Subsequent members of the family ([[family::Ashe Windham|Ashe]], [[date of Birth::1673]]-[[date of Death::1749]], William II, [[date of Birth::1717]]-[[date of Death::1761|61]], William III, [[date of Birth::1750]]-[[date of Death::1810]]) continued to acquire books and their inscriptions can also be found across the library.

Biographical Note

Daughter of Sir William Leveson-Gower, 4th bart, of Sittersham. She married Sir Edward Wyndham, 2nd bart, of Orchard Wyndham, Somerset.

Books

An engraved armorial bookplate made for her (Franks *148) must date from between the death of her husband in 1695, and her own death in 1704; the extent of her library is not known.
