Manuscript book label of Henry Field

A number of Field's books survive with distinctive manuscript book labels in red ink, "Henry Feilde", with running numbers suggesting a sizeable library. An entire calligraphic manuscript of his, dated 1642, was in the Pirie sale at Sotheby's (NY), 2.12.2015/368, and a manuscript volume of Donne’s sermons made by him is now Bodleian MS Eng.th.c.71. Other examples: Blickling Hall 23.c.21; John Rylands University Library, Manchester, Special Collections 519; Sydney University Library General STC 760.
