John ADAM 1721-1792
Biographical Note
John Adam was the eldest of the four sons of William Adam, entrepreneur and architect. He inherited his father's business and estate on the latter's death in 1748. He was responsible for the design and execution of several Scottish public buildings.
Books
He created a large library at the family home at Blair Adam, Kinross-shire (ODNB). The extent and disposition of his library is not known.
