Sir Erasmus NORWICH, 3rd bart 1668-1720
Biographical Note
Born at Brampton Ash, Northamptonshire, son of Sir Roger Norwich, 2nd bart and Catherine (Shuckburgh). Succeeded to his father’s estates in 1691. Married (1) Annabella Savage; (2) Jane Adams. Sheriff of Northamptonshire 1704-5.
Books
He used an armorial bookplate: Franks 22057; *167 (another impression).
His will makes no reference to books, and the content and disposition of his library are not yet established.
In 1697 he owned a manuscript copy of Henry Manwayring’s Sea-mans Dictionary.
