Isaac Lemyng REBOW 1705?-1735
Biographical Note
Son of Lemyng Rebow of Fulham. BA Trinity College, Cambridge 1726; admitted at the Inner Temple, 1727. He inherited estates in Colchester from his grandfather, Sir Isaac Rebow in 1726. MP for Colchester 1734-35.
Books
Rebow used two engraved armorial bookplates (Franks 24701-2). The extent of his library is not known; in his will, he left "all my books and medals" to his son Isaac Martin Rebow, as long as he survived long enough. He (the son) was later Recorder of Colchester, and died in 1781, so we can assume that this bequest was carried out.
