Thomas MANSEL or MANSELL, 2nd Baron Mansel 1719-1744

Biographical Note

Son of Robert Mansel, MP, and grandson of Thomas Mansel 1667-1723, 1st Baron Mansel, from whom he inherited the title and family estates in 1723, his father having died a few months earlier. He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford in 1736, but did not graduate; he died aged only 25, and the barony passed to his uncle Christopher, who died only a few months later.
