Biographical Note
Son of Jacob Jesson of London, merchant. Apprenticed to John Arches of the Mercers Company, merchant adventurer 1698; he was presumably made free ca.1705. At the time of making his will in December 1723 (proved December 1724) he was factor to the Royal British Assiento Company, and living in Veracruz, Mexico.
Books
Jesson used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 16473). The extent of his library is not known; in his will, he left all his property to his friend Richard Grosvenor junior, of London.
