Fitzgerald's bookplate (British Museum Franks Collection *600)

Biographical Note

Son of John Fitzgerald, Dean of Cork. Bishop of Clonfert and Kilmacduagh 1691-1722, having previously been archdeacon of Ross, Ireland, and Dean of Cloyne (1671-91); no other details of his career have been traced.

Books

Fitzgerald used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks *600); the extent and disposition of his library is not known.
