John OUSELEY or OWSLEY 1645/6-1709

Biographical Note

Son of John Ouseley, vicar of Ulceby, Lincolnshire. BA Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge 1665, MA 1668. Rector of Panfield, Essex 1668, of Springfield Boswell 1694, of Little Waltham 1703.

Books

Ouseley is listed in Edward Bernard’s Catalogi manuscriptorum, 1697, as owning 60 manuscripts; his “choice collections” are referred to in Richard Newcourt’s Repertorium ecclesiasticum … Londinense (1710) as having “contributed very much to this work”.
