Biographical Note

Member of the Windham family of Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk.

Books

William inherited books from his father, Thomas, which were subsequently taken by his half-uncle's widow; Thomas was compensated with £10. William acquired books himself, and the library at Felbrigg has numerous books with his signature and sometimes date of acquisition. His wife Catherine kept records of her own books and reading in notebooks.
