George FAWLER 1607/08-ca.1680?

Biographical Note

Born in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, son of Thomas Fawler. BA Magdalen Hall, Oxford 1629, MA 1632. Minister at Bridewell, London, 1643, ejected 1662; licensed to preach, as a presbyterian, at his house in Islington, 1672.

Books

Fawler’s books were sold by auction in London by Edward Millington, beginning 30 May 1681, as part of a joint sale of the books of Fawler, George Lawson, Owen Stockton and Thomas Brooks (see entry for Lawson). He gave some books to Sion College in 1652, of which 3 are identified today in the Lambeth Palace Library catalogue (e.g. Bucer, Praelectiones, 1562).
