Robert PIERCE or PEIRCE 1657/8-1707

Biographical Note

Son of Thomas Pierce, President of Magdalen College, Oxford and later Dean of Salisbury. BCL Magdalen College, Oxford 1676. Rector of North Tidworth, Wiltshire, prebendary of Salisbury 1680.

Books

Pierce's library was auctioned in Oxford, 22.6.1709, as part of a joint sale, with the books of father. The sale catalogue contains 2384 lots, divided only between Latin theology, philology [and miscellaneous] (1255 lots), and English divinity and miscellaneous (1129).
