Isaac AKERMAN 1719-date of death:;1792
Biographical Note
Akerman's background and early career have not been traced; when he made his will in 1788 he described himself as a merchant, living in Fenchurch Street, London. During the 1750s and 1760s he was the treasurer of the Smallpox Hospital, London.
Books
Akerman used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 256); the extent and disposition of his library are not known. His will has no mention of books, which would have been part of his household goods and personal effects, bequeathed to his wife.
