Mary MARSTON d.1657
Biographical Note
Daughter of William Wilkes, vicar of Wiltshire and chaplain to James I. She married the playwright John Marston ca.1605, and remained in London after his death there in 1634, noting her place of residence in her will as being in the parish of St Mary Aldermanbury.
Books
John Marston bequeathed his books to Mary in his will. When she died, she left to her kinsman Matthew Poore "a trunk full of books, with lock and key and a book of martyrs in 3 volumes not in the trunk".
