Leonard GILL d.1547

Biographical Note

Son of William Gill, of Buckland, Hertfordshire. B.Civ.L at Cambridge 1523, and a fellow of Jesus College there from 1535; he is known to have been a priest. He was a beneficiary of the will of Oliver Ainsworth (d.1546).

Books

Gill's probate inventory includes ca.70 books, not all individually listed, valued at £3 5s 10d (from a total estate valued at £31 6s 9d). The listed books are largely in Latin, and mostly theological. The full inventory is edited as Leedham-Green no.35 (see full citation below).
