Jarson's library was auctioned in London, beginning 25 July 1700. No catalogue survives; an advertisement for the sale announces ‘a curious collection of English history, divinity, etc. with a choice parcel of plays, by Dryden, Lee, Otway, &c. in 28 vol. With several hundreds of valuable books, most of which are gilt on the back’.
