Biographical Note
BA Christ's College, Cambridge 1533, fellow 1533, MA 1535, proctor 1538-39, fellow of Trinity College 1546 (and vice-master there by 1550), Lady Margaret preacher 1547; he was vicar of Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire in 1548.
Books
Gylpin's probate inventory includes ca.145 volumes, valued at £12 14s 5d (from a total estate valued at £36 16s 9d). The books are largely in Latin, and theological, but embrace a range of other subjects including philosophy, classics and medicine. The full inventory is edited as Leedham-Green no.46 (see full citation below).
