Stephen HUNT d.1714?

Biographical Note

Son of Nicholas Hunt, of Canterbury. MB Corpus Christi College, Cambridge 1699, after which he became a physician in Canterbury.

Books

Hunt gave or bequeathed his library to Canterbury Cathedral in 1714, “in wch were a great many curiositys purposely purchased … a little before his death”. The Cathedral donors' book notes that these included many philological, philosophical and medical books, including some in French. He was also noted as a collector of coins and other antiquities.
