John HUMPHREY or HUMPHRY d.1679

Biographical Note

Of Northamptonshire. BA Jesus College, Cambridge 1638, MA 1641. Vicar of Rothwell, Northamptonshire 1663.

Books

Humphrey's library was auctioned in London, 4.12.1682, “cum aliiis eruditorum virorum libris”. The sale included 70 medieval manuscripts; it is not clear from the large catalogue which books were Humphrey's, and which belonged to the other unidentified learned men.
