Thomas HARRISON ca.1650-1707
Biographical Note
Son of Thomas Harrison of Allerthorpe, Yorkshire, gentleman. Matriculated at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge 1667, but did not graduate; admitted at Gray's Inn 1667 (barrister, 1673). MP for Boroughbridge 1695-6; he spent some years in Ireland around 1700 as a Trustee for Irish Forfeitures.
Books
Harrison used an engraved armorial bookplate, dated 1698, on which he noted his address as of Copgrave, near Knaresborough (Franks *365); the extent and disposition of his library are not known.
