Gostlett HARINGTON or HARRINGTON 1682-1706
Biographical Note
Son of John Harington of Kelston, Somerset, gentleman. Matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford 1703, but did not graduate. He was buried at Kelston in 1706.
Books
Harington had an engraved armorial bookplate made, dated 1706 (Franks 13776), and describing himself as of Marshfield, Gloucestershire (the home of his mother's family; she was born Helena Gostlett). The extent and disposition of his library is not known, but he must have died shortly after the plate was made.
