John GODMAN 1715-1750

Biographical Note

Son of Francis Godman, of Hemel Hempstead. BA Jesus College, Cambridge 1738; curate of Waldron, Sussex 1742-47, vicar of Mayfield, Sussex 1747.

Books

Godman used an engraved armorial bookplate, dating from his time at Jesus College (Franks 12089); the extent and disposition of his library are not known.
