Edward CONYERS 1693?-1742
Biographical Note
Son of John Conyers of Walthamstow, Essex, MP. Matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford 1710, but did not graduate; admitted at the Middle Temple 1707. He bought the estate of Copt Hall, Essex and was MP for East Grinstead 1725-41.
Books
Conyers used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 6667). The extent of his library is not known; his will has no mention of books, which would have passed (with the rest of his goods and personal estate) to his son John.
