Brooke's bookplate (British Museum Franks Collection 3876)

Biographical Note

Son of Thomas Brooke of Chester. BA Brasenose College, Oxford 1717, MA 1720, fellow of All Souls 1720, BCL 1723, DCL 1727. Regius professor of civil law 1736-42.

Books

Brooke used an engraved armorial bookplate, noting his status as a fellow of All Souls (Franks 3876); the extent and disposition of his library is not known.
