Alexander SUTHERLAND, 4th of Kinminity, d.1725
Biographical Note
Alexander Sutherland was the son of Alexander Sutherland, 3rd of Kinminity (ca.1655-1710). He was succeeded by a son, also called Alexander. Another relative was James Sutherland of Clyne who inherited and reworked his bookplate.

Used an engraved bookplate (Franks *523): Alexander Sutherland, of Kinminity Esqr.
Franks 28576 is recorded as 'Sutherland, James, of Clyne Esqr. (The plate of Alexander Sutherland of Kinminity reworked)'.
The extent and disposition of his library is not known.
