Biographical Note
Beyond a ‘Mr Joseph Sayer, Surgeon. London’ appearing in the list of subscribers to Benjamin Martin’s Bibliotheca technologica (1737), nothing has yet been found to establish the identity of the owner of the bookplate listed below.
Books
An engraved armorial bookplate (‘Josephus Sayer, Chirurgus Londinensis’) is in the Franks Collection: 26193. No further evidence of books owned by him has yet been found.
