Biographical Note
Brims Castle is located in Caithness and was for many years the property of a branch of the Sinclair family. The owner of the bookplate recorded by Franks is possibly the Patrick Sinclair who sold Brims in 1726.
Books
Used an engraved bookplate (Franks 27000) with the text 'Brims'. Identified by Franks as a member of the Sinclair family.
The extent and disposition of his library is not known.
