Sir John ANSTRUTHER of Anstruther and Elie House, 1st bart. ca. 1678-1753
Biographical Note
The Anstruther family home as Elie House, Elie, Fife. He was a member of the Scottish Parliament (1702–7) and of the British Parliament (1708–1741) and held a number of Scottish offices. He was created a baronet in 1700.
