Edward ZOUCHE or ZOUCH d.1634
Biographical Note
Son of Sir William Zouche. His education is not known; during the 1610s he was involved in glass-making at Vauxhall. He was a courtier to James I and Charles I, and was popular as a masque actor. In 1625 he inherited the house and estate at Bramshill, Hampshire from his relative Edward la Zouche, 11th Baron Zouche.
Books
Zouche's probate inventory includes mention of a newly-completed library room at Bramshill, containing ca.250 books. His brief will has no mention of books; his property was left to his wife.
