====Biographical Note====
BA [[education::Christ's College, Cambridge]] 1553, [[occupation::fellow of Christ's College, Cambridge|fellow]] there and MA 1556; he died only a couple of years later.

====Books====
Mouncaster's damaged probate inventory includes ca.40 books, valued at £1 1s (from a total estate valued at nearly £7); this may not be his entire library. The books are mostly in [[language::Latin]], with some [[language::Greek]], with a mixture of [[subject::theology]], [[subject::philosophy]], [[subject::classics]], and other topics. His estate was inherited by his father. The full inventory is edited as Leedham-Green no.94 (see full citation below).
