Son of [[family::Edward Chambres]] of [[location::Henllan, Denbighshire]]. BA [[education::Jesus College, Oxford]] 1711, MA 1713. [[occupation::vicar|Vicar]] of [[location::Dartford, Kent]] 1718-46.

Chambres used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 5530); the extent and disposition of his library is not known.
