====Biographical Note====
Fourth son of the Edinburgh lawyer [[family::William Hamilton]] 3rd of Wishaw, he was himself an [[occupation::advocate]] and served as the baillie of the Dukedom and regality of Hamilton.
He married the granddaughter of William Hamilton of Dalserf, heiress of Dalserf.

13444 Hamilton, Archibald, of Dalserfe, Esqr. (The last plate with inscription altered.)
