====Biographical Note====
Second son of [[family::Thomas Anton]] (d.[[date of Death::1559]]) of [[location::Strathfieldsaye]], Anton was admitted to [[organisations::Lincoln's Inn]] in 1575. He served as [[occupation::MP]] for, and in 1587 was elected [[occupation::Recorder]] of [[location::Lincoln]].

Anton [[bequest::gave]] [[format::manuscript|manuscripts]] to [[beneficiary::Lincoln’s Inn]]; books survive with his armorial stamp.
