He had an engraved armorial bookplate (‘Willm. Nicholls, Esqr., of Trereife, Cornwall’): Franks 21815 (with Gambier Howe noting ‘plate of [[crossreference::Francis Nicholls|Frank Nicholls]] with inscription altered?’).
