BARKER d.ca.1733

Books

The "entire collection of the ingenious architect and builder, Mr. Barker, of Great Queen Street, deceased", including "books, drawings, prints, architecture, &c" was auctioned in London, beginning 15 March 1733. No catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Journal. Barker has not been identified but he cannot be the John Barker, merchant, of Lowestoft whose will was proved in 1733 (The National Archives, PROB 11/659/73) as this has no reference to London property.
